Fascias, Soffits & Gutters

Three essentials of any roof, Rooftech Solutions will always ensure fascias, soffits and gutters are operating as efficiently as possible on roofs of all housing types and conservatory roofing, and carry out amendments if necessary.

Firstly, the fascia, also known as the roofline, is the mounted point where the roof meets the outer walls of the house – the fascia board being the long, straight board that runs along the lower edge of the roof carrying all the guttering and supporting the bottom row of tiles or slates.

Then there’s the soffit board that’s tucked away under the fascia and is usually the board that you see most of from street level. The soffit can be ventilated to allow the flow of air into the roof area, although these days ventilation is more commonly provided over the top of the fascia. Adequate ventilation is essential or else condensation becomes a problem in the roof which poses the risk of timber decay.

Finally, Rooftech are also experts at working with roof guttering, especially as part of our specialist conservatory roofing services. We ensure that all gutter troughs that collect and channel rainwater running off the roof are functioning as they should be and thoroughly cleaned from the common culprits of leaves and debris.

Clogged up gutters can cause substantial damage to your home if not treated promptly and are even a fire hazard in dry conditions. So Rooftech are always on hand to help out and make sure you and your family are not at risk from something that can easily be prevented.
